Halloween Buck

I got this 8pt yesterday right at dark. These pictures are from my son's phone so it's a little fuzzy. He is an 8pt with 19" spread. It is hard to tell from this pic but his right brow tine drops. My Dad took some pictures with his camera, so hopefully I will get those soon. I was hunting with my son which makes this a very special deer and memory.

I just turned to my 8 year old son upon opening your picture, and we both said in unison "That's a nice looking buck!"

(yes, he's still up, because he's off of school tomorrow and wanted to work on editing video of halloween with me).

Thanks guys,
I think my 15 yo son was prouder than I was. He has shown pictures and the rack to everyone, LOL. He is out of school tomorrow and I am off work. He has already planned our hunting trip. This one got him really fired up more than he already was. He saw another buck from his stand but didnt get a shot. Hopefully he can get him on our trip.

Thanks again guys.

I finally got the pictures from my Dad. He was having trouble with his email.

If you look closely you can see the right brow tine drops and turns like a hook.
The last picture is three generations of hunters. I think we would have all been just as happy no matter which one of use got him.:)

For The area he was killed he is a really nice deer. We only have 60 acres to hunt and the deer are pressured heavily by hunt clubs that surround us.
There is also no agriculture in the area other than timberland. So the nutrition isn't quite as good for antler growth.
The stand I killed him from is ony hunted 3-4 times per season. It is on one of the primary travel routes and too much pressure will send them away from us. My Dad killed a nice 10 point from that stand a few years back. It had had taller tines but wasn't quite as wide.

WPC: The process shop is a new one that just opened this year. I gave the deer to my dad and this is where he wanted it done.
