What a day! I was invited to a friend's parents' house for some shooting....I also went to buy-back the S&W Model 29-2 I had sold my buddy back in 2009. *See thread elsewhere in this forum.
We shot and shot and shot!
Mine:
Browning Hi Power Izzy marked, steel frame.
Browning Hi Power alloy frame.
Browning Hi Power Practical .40 S&W
Smith and Wesson 66-1
*All above, this was my first time shooting those.
Smith and Wesson 638 pocket carry
Kahr CW 45 with CTC laser grip
S&W Model 29-2 (after I bought her back)
---------------------------------
Friend's dad's guns:
S&W Governor in .45 LC: shot .45 ACP on full moon clips and .410's
Glock 27
Friend's guns:
Suppressed AR 15 in .223
------------------
Great time shooting!
Best revolver: 66-1. Tack driver
Best auto: BHP .40.
Biggest surprise: friend couldn't believe the CW 45 worked well with 1911 mags from Wilson Combat.
Funniest thing: watching his cat chase the red laser dot at full sprint on the grass.
Unexpected comedy: watching my pocket holster go flying out of my pocket during scenario draw. Naturally it landed right in the ashes of the cold burn pile. I wonder if that would have distracted an attacker?
I haven't shot like this in years! Great fun.
