H & r shikari model 155 45-70

I have acquired one of these, and my understanding is the SHIKARI model was built in both 44 mag, and 45-70. Would that mean I have an SB2 receiver.
Per the serial number was built in 1974.
I wanted to lengthen the chamber, and shoot paper patched bullets and long bullets up to 500 grains.

No, the Shikari was built on a cast iron frame long before high-pressure actions were even considered. I’ve had mine since the mid-70s and using Trapdoor loads has kept it tight and safe.
