H & R model 733

My H & R model 733 works fine when fired single action. However, recently, when I attempt to shoot it double action only the cylinder turns. The hammer does not move. It stays in place. Questions?: What part has broken? What pins need to be removed in order to replace it? Where is the better place to order the part?

There is a pivoted projection on the hammer, called the double action fly on most revolvers. Either this has come off, or the projection on the rear of the trigger has worn down. Either part must be replaced.

So far as I know, this is the best place for parts:

Disassembly is not too hard, but can be tricky. The schematic shown in the parts list may help.

P.S. I re-read your post, and since the gun fires single action, its not the trigger.
