H&R Model 622 Parts?

My dad just gave me his old H&R Model 622 .22 Revolver he used to use for coyotes back when he owned cattle. The hammer wouldn't go all the way back so I took the handgrips off and noticed the plastic piece that is at the end of the spring was broken (I don't know what it is called, but the plastic piece fits against the back of the trigger in the gun). I've tried superglue but it doesn't hold for long before it breaks again.

I can't seem to find any parts for it anywhere. The serial number starts with 'AC' so from what I have read, it is a '66 or '67 model.

Also, I am not sure if it is a .22l or .22lr, as I am unfamiliar with .22 rounds.

Any other info would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you need a new mainspring and guide assembly.
Numrich Gun Parts is out of the plastic style. But, they do offer a metal end, no more breaking!

p.s. your 622 will shoot 22 short, long, or long rifle

When you get your new mainspring assembly there will be a pin through the guide that holds the spring compressed. Cock the hammer install the assembley, then remove the pin and you will be good to go.

I know this thread is really old, but I finally got around to purchasing the mainspring for the revolver. My question is: the new one has a small plate at the base of the spring, but my old one had this thick curved plate that was separate, does that curved round one need to go in the gun or is the flat plate sufficient?
