H&R 922

I have this H&R 922 revolver, it's different than any I've found on the net and I could use a few parts. It shoots but the timing is a little off so the cylinder is a bit loose. One thing different is the main spring, it's a one piece metal spring that goes from the base of the handle to the trigger. Second, the grips are one piece, if you remove them in the metal there is a "V" under them. On the barrel it is stamped 922 along with the name and model. Doesn't have near the parts that a lot of the others I've seen. Anyone got any ideas? I'll try to get a few pictures tomorrow and post them. I only want it to shoot snake loads when we encounter one of those pests.

I think (hope) there are pictures of the main spring and the grip.
Any ideas of where I can get parts and why people with other 922's are different than mine. Is mine older or newer? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Billheck60,
The Model 922 revolver was in production from circa 1925 until around 1986. During that time it took on quite a few different guises and mechanical features.
A 922 with the "Rice" type frame, which yours has, would have been in production from circa 1932 until 1953. If you share the serial number I can tell you the model and variation and the time span within which it was produced. The serial number will be on the front grip strap.

Thanks for the post bill

I found this link a little while ago for parts. I hope this helps both of us.

I just purchased a 922 today and found my mainspring guide is bent :(. I'm taking it back to the LGS tomorrow to see what they say.

I noticed a slight gritt when cocking the hammer, so I took the grip off and saw that the mainspring guide was bent causing it to rub on the frame.

the number on the frame is K122XX. Any help on fixing this would be appreciated.

Update
Never mind my LGS fixed it

Skidder,
GLAD you got it fixed - should have been a fairly easy replacement. Sorry, couldn't get back in timely manner - been in hospital with some issues.
