Has anyone heard of these or know where to find some background on them if they exist?

They were the single shot long guns that you could interchange the .410 barrel with the .44mag barrel.
The H&R of today is not the same entity as the one upto the late '80s. Nor will they provide any info or help for prior guns. Today you can buy a modern H&R SB1 with either the 44mag or .410 barrel and then have the other fit to the receiver by H&R.
