I got this from a friend about 6 years ago. I have never shot it. Should I be concerned at all before I take it out and use it. It's a pretty simple gun just want to make sure of any safety tests or checks I need before firing away. My friend said it worked. He had 2 of them and gave me one.

How old is it? If made after WWII, chances are it's gonna last longer than any of us.

Pics will help....

There's one here, about 20 years old, that has taught a passel of shooters.

Upside, these are affordable, light, rugged and reliable. A plethora of aftermarket goodies also.

Downside, these kick emphatically. Trigger pulls are oft more than the physical weight of the gun and you have just the one shot.

Light loads are the way to go. I reload 3/4 oz creampuffs for starters.

Enjoy.....

+1 on that. I picked one up for my kids years ago and after 1 shot my oldest son said he did not want to shoot it anymore. I gave it a try, using AA trap loads, and decided he did not have to:eek:
