So apparently these can be had all day around $200.00. That seems like a great deal. But the question is are they any good? I have never seen or heard anything about them till recently. If they are reliable then their worth the $200.00.

I also noticed they look a hell of lot like a remington like the furniture and slide release. Are these made by remington or are they just tryin to clone them?

Oh ,I didn't know they were made in China. But, that doesn't necessarily mean they suck. Norinco's are made in China and their not all that bad. So whats wrong with them?

I guess I could find something used for that. I just thought $200.00 for any gun that works is good.

I have not got the oportunity to see a pardner pump in person but my curiousity tells me if they are making the pumps in China then what about their singles? Maybe the actual H&R 1871 is just getting the parts there for the(singles) and assembling them here in the States.

My Pardner Pump Protector has been a good shotty.
870 furniture will fit fine.
One thing is it's heavy and doesn't feel quite as smooth as an 870, but it feels bulletproof.
I've got maybe 500 rounds through mine, everything from 8 shot to 00 buck, no problems.

No, the pump guns are imported but H&R singles are manufactured and assembled in Ilion, N.Y., the original home of Remington Arms.

It's all but impossible to kill one of those singles. I think one of the biggest problems with anything made in china is that the QC is non-existant. One person can have one that is flawless, the next can get a dog. It's all in how lucky you are. Also, do any of the 9 gazillion addons made for the 870 work on the imports?

Just bought an H and R Pardner Protector 12G the other day and took it to the range yesterday shoots great put 50 shells threw it no problem whatsoever. It is a great gun for the price dont let the whole made in china thing change your mind. Do some research before you buy there are alot of people that swear by them and some people would rather spend more money for the Mossberg or an 870. I love my 200 dollar 12Gauge good first shotgun

Here is the BIGGEST problem with chi-com junk imports... What will you do when H&R drops the contract? And the parts are not truly interchangeable with their genuine counterpart?

What will you do when china gets a sandspur in their butt cuz we decided to impose tariffs on them until they change their policy regarding intentionally keeping their currency devalued... And they refuse to ship to the usa or some such other event?

This was also addressed in another thread. Truth be told, the Chi-coms make decent/affordable stuff much like the Turks as well.
