After this one I promise to leave ya'll alone.
Dbl Barrel, External Hammers, Damascus barrels, 30 inch barrels, Lock Plates on both sides marked H. Pieper, Belgium, Center rib between the barrels is marked "Laminated Steel-Belgium".
Not a percussion unit.
No other markings are visible, quite a lot of use, good patina, barrels pitted.
Promise, last one I ask about.
Looking for info????

Go to the web site www.littlegun.be. There is quite a bit of information about the late 19th Century Belgium gun makers. Also Google H. Pieper and you will find more info. Is this an old double? I have and old Eclipse Company 12 ga. double made by H. Pieper that I am having researched by one of the people listed on above listed web site.

The web site is in english. Like a BA I didn't totaly read your post before answering. It is a double, if you pop the forearm off you will find numbers and markings on the bottom of the barrels. Once the forerm is off you can break the gun into. On the top of the breech arms will probaly be a bunch more numbers and markings. I assume the long number is the serial # and the # on the other side(3 numbers) is probaly the model #. Both numbers should be located on the barrels also. If you take the hammer plates off the stock and the screw out located under the thumb latch, this will allow you to remove the entire breech out of stock. Just above where the breech latch is attached msybe stamped H Pieper.

If you want to research the old girl more I can ask the fellow in Belgium that is researching mine if he wants to do more. Let me know. PS, He can send e-mails in english.

I apologize for my french,first off no disrespect meant. Mon Ami,
I am unable to remove the fore stock as it is held down
by a stud and nut. Which are into the wood.
The number of screws on the unit appears to be two. One on the paddle pivot which the swivel takes place that opens the unit. Right swivel only. The other screw is on the far back mounting of the hammer lock plate on the left side. All the rest of the hold downs are pins , peened over. I wish I could answer more of your questions-EH?
All appear to to be as well used as the fire arm-Old.
