H&K UTL - quality, performance, experience?

I know that HK charges $220 for these, and they are hard to find in my area. Does anyone have any personal experience or impressions that they could give to sway me one way or the other? It sure would be nice to have a free hand to operate the phone, the alarm, or doors if required to secure the house at night.

I've also seen the M3 Tactical light for Glocks, and was curious if they make a model for the USP series. TIA,
 
My "bedside gun", a USP .45 Compact, has one of these, and it works very well, in fact, the focused light beam is at point of aim for any close (in-the-house-type) distances.
The M3 light I bought my stepson for his Glock 23 looks almost exactly the same, BTW, though the means of attachment to the frame rails is a bit different. The two products are so much alike, that I'd be surprised if they weren't made by the same people. Best.

Good observation SAWBONES. Both lights are made by Insight Technologies. I haven't looked at any HK UTLs, but the M3 is a pretty sweet setup.
