H&K USP9 magazine

I was checking out a used, but in good shape USP9 fullsize with 1 hi-cap magazine. The manufacture date on it was KE which I think translates to 1995 means it's post-ban. My other post-ban USPs have metal magazines. This hi-cap was plastic. I didn't think of this until after I left and should have checked the bottom for the H&K stamp. Is this a factory magazine? Is $550 a fair price for this piece?

My USP9 has a plastic magazine, though it is not a hi-cap.

As to the price, it is a little high. A new USP9 goes for $529 in Texas. A hi-cap mag is $99. Here is my analysis:

New USP9 $529
Deduct 56 Price for two new 10 round mags - HK list price
Total $473 Price for new USP no mags

Deduct something (at least 10%, in my opinion) from $473 because it is used, and add $99 for the hi-cap. If it does not have the gray plastic case and the manual, deduct another $15-20.

Also, check the recoil spring. The early USPs did not have a captive recoil spring. KA is 1990, so KE is 1994.

Huh. $550 is what I'm asking for from a friend of mine for a NIC early V1 9mm/1 hicap/1 locap. (I have a couple other USP9s. This one's just sitting around.)

All of the mags for my USP9s, both hi and lo cap, are plastic lined. Has HK switched to aftermarket mag makers like MECGAR for new guns sold?

Also, the early USP9s have regular land/groove rifling.
