H&K USP Trigger Job or Trade?

Hi all - I have an HK USP .45F that is accurate as all get out, but the DA trigger feels like a toy gun. I have the opportunity to trade it even for a Sig 220. I already have a few sigs, so the quality is not a question. The kicker is that I really enjoy shooting the HK in single action and would rethink the trade seriously if a trigger job could save it. What do you all think?

Noban, give Teddy Jacobson at Actions By T a call before you trade or sell. You state you like the USP..., see what can be done to improve the DA pull. Teddy's specialty is action jobs.

I also have a USP 45F and I have added the match trigger assembly to it. It does improve the double action over stock, but I don't think by a huge amount. My question to you, Noban, is in what situation do you feel that the double action is a handicap? I do tactical shooting on Sundays with a club and use my USP45F from an Alessi CQC/S holster. I don't even notice the transition from DA to SA when shooting in that type of scenario. I also don't see a performance (read as accuracy) loss when shooting in this type of situation. Once the adrenaline kicks in you don't really even notice the length or weight of the DA pull. When I am target shooting and have all the time in the world to aim at a bullseye target then I will agree with you that the DA leaves much to be desired.

EQP - I use the USP strictly for informal target shooting, so unfortunately I have all the time in the world to dwell on the crummy trigger. Just to tease myself, I stopped at a local shop lst night and dry fired a Sig 220 a few times - what a difference! I have some serious thinking to do. Thanks for the input.
