H&K usp stainless or not

just got an e-mail from h&k mailing list and
a fellow said that he saw an h&k rep at a gun
show and said that the "stainless" is not
really stainless, but a hard finish. any ideas? jf

FWIW, I have a 45C with he 'stainless' sllide. It cleans up like stainless (i.e. easy), but the gun is only about a year old and I don't carry it much, so it's showing no signs of wear. So far, so good. M2

The H&K rep was full of it. The H&K USP stainless slide is solid stainless steel and the finish stays MUCH nicer than the Hostile Environment finishes... even after thousands of presentations.

(Still, I would rather have a HE finish if I were a professional soldier or SWATster)
