I am looking into buying one of these guns I will be going to rent one at a local range next week to shoot it and see if I like it it is a .45acp model. My question is I have heard that these guns are very comples when compared to the inner workings of other semi autos like a glock.

I had one guy tell me that the trigger assembily alone on one of these guns has more parts then an entire glock pistol. Now granted the trigger is completely differant and that it has a s/a or d/a mode of carry option but a glock pistol has 34 or 36 parts total if I'am not mistaken does the hk usp have this many parts in its trigger assembily alone?

I find this hard to beleve so if anyone here can tell me exactly parts these guns have I would be greatful not that it matters but I am just curious. Thanks in advance guys

p.s. any help from an hk armorer would be especialy helpful.

The usp 45 does not have that many parts in the trigger mech. There are some small springs and such. The usp is not as easy to take apart and put togather as the glock, but is totally reliable. Don't hesitate to buy one. There are takedown instructions and pictures on the web, I can't remember the address, but a search under H & K or usp may turn it up for you. I love mine.

Glock17luver, this link is for the armourers manual:

A mate of mine with no experience with pistols did a full detail strip and clean on his USP when he got it, it improved the trigger out of sight, the double action pull was equivalent to a new S&W revolver. I figure if a newbie can, so can you. :)

For me, what was more important than the number of parts it was constructed w/ was reliability. Everytime I pull the trigger, it goes "BANG!" followed by a hole right where I was pointing it  Very gratifying!
Get the USP and enjoy it!
