I've spent the evening searching for an old thread. A year or so ago someone mentioned subbing Para Ordanance hi-caps in a .45 USP.

Before I run out and drop $60 on one I wanted to know if anyone has heard of this working. If they do work, which Para mag fits best?

I've never heard that, but I know you can still find 12 round factory USP .45 mags if you look hard enough. I remember them going for around a hundred bucks, but you can occassionally find them for less. Check www.auctionarms.com and www.gunbroker.com and www.gunsamerica.com.

I do remember the thread you are referring to. Someone had MacGyver'd a Para mag to work in a USP. As I recall, it wasn't 100% and it did not lock the slide open after the last round. Why ruin a hi cap if you don't have to?
