I have this handgun in my safe; does anyone know anything about it?

I carry a H&K P30S daily with a Viridian X5L but I do not know much about the older H&Ks.

Do they still make these models anymore?

If they still make them I bet they are pricey. In the condition shown, I would be happy to own that. Not sure I could afford it!

Someone at the range told me they still make these as of 2015 so mine isn't very rare anymore.

Ha ha you should have asked for some of what he was smoking, cause it was good stuff.

Its possible he meant the new Walter pistol the CCCP, it uses a similar gas piston design but bears no other similarities to the P7, and obviously doesn't hurt the P7's value.

Has yours been refinished?

Lord what happened to the prices on these guns? I remember when the PSP models could be had for $700-900. Now the cheapest ones I can find are nearly double that.

I know that I would like to have one but can't afford it. Last one I saw at my local FFL was priced at $2400 LNIB.

And they are said to get very hot.

REALLY! You have that gun just sitting in your safe? You really have to get rid of it immediately...it's a bad influence on all guns in the safe. I understand your concern and would be more than happy to handle the problem for you:D

Seriously, you're P7M8 is in excellent condition and they are fetching ransom prices as they're not being made anymore. I really missed out on the inexpensive used PSPs that hit the market a few years ago. I would love to own one, but not for current pricing. There are differing opinions, but every time I fired one, it was a pleasant experience showing a very reliable and accurate pistol. A little on the heavy side than what most polymer gun-people consider for CCW, but it's a great handgun.

Maybe I need to go find out what may be hiding in my safe?:D

I have the one made for big kids - HK P7M10 in 40 S&W. They are fantastic guns and high value today. VERY reliable, durable ,excellent trigger.I would never sell mine !

FYI---Fictional detective Lucas Davenport carried one in several of the 'Prey' series of books by John Sandford (aka John Camp). However his carry piece did change a few times during the series.

Folks are telling you the correct info. The p7, p7m8, and the rest of the series are no longer being mfg.; and the prices of used ones have gotten crazy.

I bought both a p7 and a p7m8 before they got crazy expensive. Love them; easy shooting and accurate! If one can handle the weight (weight is the bane of all metal guns.), they are great carry guns. The squeeze grip cocks the striker, release the grip and the gun is rendered safe; and won't fire until the grip is squeezed again and the trigger pulled.

H&K has made quite a few beautiful and innovative guns. though because they are unnecessary complex they fell by the way side to guns that did the same in a more simple manner. the P9s, Model 4, P7, VP70...

I have one, a 9mm P7M8 squeeze cocker.

Had Robar do it fully in NP3 (the preferred finish of terrorists, apparently, or is it hard chrome? ), ditto three 8-rd mags to feed it. Added the only set of Trijicon sights I could find.

Thinking it's worth north of $2500 these days, although it's definitely not a Block 19 ...

If Hk cared about the civilian market they would reintroduce the P7M8 and M13 with a lightweight alloy frame and push it as a CC pistol. So many people I know want one of these, Hk has to be missing out on a pile of cash. I'd love to have one, just can't afford what they're going for these days.
