H&K M1 Super90

I bought an M1 SUper90 about two months ago. It refuses to feed anything but 00 buck, or slugs. I found out it is supposed to cycle 3 in anything but with 2 3/4 even #4s wont cycle. Any other shooters out there have a cycle problem with this gun? I plan to use it in three gun so I need it to cycle at least 3in #7s!

I have one and it will cycle 1oz. target loads. Have you given it a thorough cleaning/lube? I read a post here a while back and that seems to be a common fix all for these guns. Maybe it just needs to be broken in more.

Many times

Ive cleande it many times but it still wont feed 2 3/4 anything. I have yet to try 3 in or 3 in mag but Benelli says 3 in or it may malfunction so I guess thats the problem.

Did you lube it? I've got one and it's never failed on me, from the lightest target loads all they way to slugs. Make sure it's lubed though, it'll slow it down a lot if you don't lube all the way back in the action. A buddy of mine had this problem w/ his benelli auto...he'd never lubed it before, one lube all the shots were quicker and didn't have any problems after that. As someone else said you need to break it in, that spring is stiff when you first get the gun.

There is a limit as far as shot charge, light charges don't work well. It should work with 2 3/4" field .Mine after modification works with heavy target and almost totally reliable with light target. I didn't have a break in period but some apparently do. Keep it clean and lubricated !!!

I think the lightest that Benelli recommends is 2 3/4" 1 1/8oz 3 dram. I have had good luck with the Remington STS 1oz Target loads. I use CLP to keep the bolt and other moving parts lubricated.

What do you mean? This is an M1, but unlike the pistol gripped HD version, it has a full sporting stock, and a 24" vent rib barrel instead of an 18" one. Mechanically there is no difference.

Mine is an early one with military sling attachments on the stock. I'm not sure of internal changes. Mine has a flat and a curved washer holding the forend , do the new ones ?...Pistol grips are not much more than a gimmick, they don't help you !

I think mine was made in 03. The forend is just hold on with the [for lack of a better word] black thing that screws on that the sling is attached to. The forend cap?

That's the magazine tube cap. The problem , I assume , with the two washers is that if you don't install them correctly you damage the gun.Lots of dummies out there !!
