My brother-in-law has a revolver of which I am looking for information. Several nights of web searching have not turned up anything.
It is an old, nickle plated, single action revolver. The loading gate is a slide that travels up and down in a milled slot on the frame rather than the swing out like a Colt or Ruger has. On the top of the frame is the following:
Hopkins & Allen
Pat. MCH 28.71 May 27, 79
Caliber Winchester 1873
Also the cylinder has extenstions that appear to fit into frame and keep me from removing the cylinder.
Any information on model number, value, when manufactured and such would be greatly appreciated. Also info on cylinder removal so I could clean it would be good.
Thanks,
Ron
