GWB on Letterman

GW did a great job with Dave last night

i just wished he would of responded to Daves desire for alternative fueled cars this way

GW: so you like electric cars
DL: Yes
GW: Where does electricity come from?
DL: ?
GW: We have to make it, and the best way to create more is to open more gas fired electric plants and we need fuel to do that.

I saw the last few minutes of his appearance.

I thought GWB came across as funny and personable. (Something he is often criticised for.) His Top 10 was just as good as Dave's normal run down, IMO. Even his delivery was good.
 
GW did a wonderful job. Considering he got mostly difficult questions after the first 5 minutes, as opposed to Al, who only got easy ones. (I'll have to review the Gore/Letterman tape, but I want to have a pleasant weekend and not get ill)

For example:

dl to GW - How would you bring peace to the Middle East (or something similar). Give me a F***ing Break! They have been fighting for 2 thousand years! The Pope and all the other religious leaders in the world can't bring peace to the Middle East.

dl to AG - Should we protect the environment?
 
I think it's good that he got the tough questions. It shows that he really does have a grasp on some of the issues. Bush rarely gets his side heard. I think he did an excellent job, answered the tough questions, and showed a proper sense of humor and tact when necessary.
