guys need help

basically, what do i have to do, to have a shotgun with about a 14 inch barrel and it be legal, i know a good machine shop and could do it any day, but i want this to be legal, i recently shot a 14in rem 870 recently and absolutely loved how it handled, so thats my next step, can anyone tell me how i can go about this, thanks

Any advice is greatly appreciated guys, thanks alot

18" is the normal legal limit but with proper transfer tax and paper work you can have a 14". For 4" it's not worth the trouble !!! :rolleyes:
 
no guys, i know that its illegal to do, without proper paperwork, im curious, who i can contact, and can i even qualify for the paperwork at 18, none of the above comments helped, appreciate any insight guys, o and appreciate that link to the laws, im just curious what steps must be taken to do it.

Lots of hassles and expense involved in going the SBS (short barreled shotgun) route, if it is even possible in your county or state. Might be cheaper to take the AOW route, if you don't mind a pistol grip only gun- if that is possible.

Who had one available for you to shoot? Ask them how they got theirs...
