Guriard Annealing Machine...

Santa was late, but worked a miricle again this year!
Seems my wife got real tired of never seeing me while I've been working on the different versions of annealing machines...

Way more time in getting a reliable conveyor case feeder up & running than the actual heat/annealing unit...
Large, fairly complicated machines.

I got an email from Guraird (spelling?) apologizing for shipment delays (and a gift certificate) promising my full on machine would ship on the 14th.

Now, since a store bought machine never crossed my mind, I asked questions...
Seems my wonderful wife purchased it a little too late to get it for xmas, it was supposed to be here for my birthday in a couple days, but the manufacturer had a delay in component parts...
So it was *Supposed* to be a birthday present.

Seems she wants to see me outside the shop once in a while!
I don't know what she's complaining about, I'm there for morning coffee and she sees me when she brings me dinner... ;)

Well let's see, a Happy Birthday and best wishes for many, many more returns. That is sweet of your wife and a super nice gift. I have a birthday coming up February 7th but alas there was a sweet Colt Series 70 Gold Cup followed by a vintage '92 Harley with only 5K miles I just had to have. I figure Santa is done with me. :)

Once you have this cooking pictures OK? :) Again, best wishes for a Happy Birthday!

That is downright cool.

We hear a lot of stories about wives with problems with us

Its good to hear one where its not.

Of course there is a reason for man caves and wife studios/work rooms

Now, let us know if you both do ok with more face time or you have to retreat to the respective bunkers!

I was drooling over a friends XL650 a few years back, got on for Xmas.
I was talking about a Super 1050 and got one for Xmas a year ago.
She gave me the PW drive for my birthday two weeks later.

Probably a good thing since I have about 750,000 cases to process!

"OH LUCY! You got some cleaning to do!"

Congratulations, you are getting the best from your bester half....!

I am assuming you are getting the propane model? I don't have the Giraud auto unit, I do have the Annie induction unit and love it. The Giraud would be my other top pick as I have his trimmer which is by far the best money I have spent on the processing besides the Annie. Doug and his wife are wonderful people and it's reflected in the tools he makes. Your in good hands!

I found a BEAUTIFUL Sharps made Creedmore/Shutzen rifle,
WAY more expensive than I would ever buy normally,
She says, "Get It! I can pick up all the extra hours I want at work. That will look great displayed with all the brass frame pistols!"

Yup! She thinks brass frames, german silver forestock caps, bone case hardened receivers & hammers are 'Home Decore' items!
Had a coffee table made with glass top for 'Displays', I didn't ask, just made it.
I got home one day and she was polishing up brass-frame revolvers for display.
(I figured dried flowers, clowns, the usual Wally World crap...)

Her only rule is 'Nothing Modern & Nothing Black',
Seems 'Black' doesn't fit into her 'Color Palate', don't match the quilts, antique grinder collection & copper kitchen implements of destruction accumulation...

Nominee for "Best Wife Ever" award!

When I married an artist I had no idea.

I found out quickly that I was dong Christmas tree decorating wrong all these yards, family tradition aside.

It took me a while (men are slow that way) but I finally realized that it all was a Palate.

Tree, house, yard.

So now I mostly let her go. I get the Tree and she does her magic.

Yard is interesting though additions do get discussed. I came up with the term Yard Art. At one time a recovered 55 gallon drum that had been beat up in a river was displayed.

The house, well I have part of the shop (well most of it) I have the smaller room for the office, my side of the table, she has the rest. I did manage to negotiate the smaller set of book shelves to the left of the fireplace for my knick knacks!

It is all interesting and pretty cool.

I'm just lost...
My idea of a fashion statement is switching from Levi's to Lee blue jeans.
I'm always in 'Gimmie' shirts that have an advertisement on them somewhere,
'Color Palate' is 'Painted', OR... the degree of rust something has.
I could care less what *Specific* color something is painted, just THAT it's painted...

As for the question of gas or induction, I assume it will come with a gas rig,
I've got a couple of single induction rigs laying here and it will be induction.
Haven't talked myself into paying for a commercial rig yet when I can build them with salvaged parts laying around here or order eBay/china unit for $40-$50.

My case cleaner/cement mixer gave up this morning!
Had a leak in the tarp & it filled up with water & froze.
Don't know if it's going to work when it thaws out, pulled it in the shop, guess we'll see...

If it ain't one thing it's another, and I have WAY too much junk to keep track of everything at once...
