Gunzilla...

my 2 cents

I'll jump on this drive by thread.

I have been using Gunzilla for the last 8 months. I am very impressed with how well it removes carbon. I use it on my AR 15 bolt/carrier/barrel. I use it on all my handguns. I like it and will continue to use it.

Here's why: It cleans just as well as Hoppe's 9 but has almost no odor. Don't get me wrong, I love the smell of Hoppe's but a little bit of that smell goes a long way.

Gunzilla is advertised as a Cleaner/lube/protectant. There is no product that can do all three things well. None. Gunzilla is a decent solvent but it is a poor lube and a poor protectant. I do clean guns with it and apply more to them before I put them in the safe for storage. I remove the Gunzilla and apply regular oil when I take them out to shoot. In the case of guns that I will be shooting sooner than later I clean with Gunzilla and lube with regular oil.

Your mileage may vary.

I've been using it for about a year for a CLP. Seems to work as advertised, but the lack of odor is the best feature.

I also have used the copper solvent as well.

Didn't know this was a website where people posted commercials.

Just the facts as stated by the maker. My post is looking for the truth. Is it what they claim and is it worth the time and money. No commericial interest here! :p
