Gunsmith tips please

I'm in high school right now and would really like to become a gunsmith once I get out. Could someone tell me what kind of skills and machinery I would need to know? Or give me a link to a website with some info? Thanks

If there is a technical college near where you live I would enroll in a machinist program. This should expose you to a variety of skills needed in the industry. Also, you will acquire some formal credentials, so if the gunsmith thing does not work out you have a fall back plan.

Chemistry, Metallurgy, Math (Trigonometry, Geometry), Machine Tool operation, welding, all as preliminary to a gun smithing school, usually available at a local community college. Chemistry and perhaps metal shop and machine shop (If not in your high school proper, in a Skill Center your H.S. partners with.), are available in your high school. Take advantage of the FREE classes while you can...the expense of college education has gone through the roof.

This subject has been gone over repeatedly from just about every possible angle. Try doing a search on this site and on some other "gun" sites and you will get more info than you can use.
