GUNS PREVENT CRIME. ASK A COP.

WHO: The Second Amendment Police
WHAT: Gun Safety Week, Sept. 23 - Oct. 1
WHEN: THIS SATURDAY, September 23, 9am - 11am
WHERE: Illinois Gun Works, 7229 West Grand (Grand and
Harlem)

The Second Amendment Police will kickoff National Gun Safety
Week by joining forces with The Second Amendment Sisters to
host a handgun safety and usage event this Saturday at
Illinois Gun Works. Libertarian U.S. Congressional
candidates Stephanie Sailor (4th District) and Matt
Beauchamp (5th District) will also be joining them.
"Firearms training is the ultimate grassroots activity,"
stated Leroy Pyle, Director of the organization, Second
Amendment Police Dept. "It teaches people that guns aren't
playthings, like you see on TV. Firearms training empowers
individuals, particularly women."
"Police officers carry guns for one reason: it prevents
crime," said Pyle. "In Chicago, handguns are illegal. Such
restrictive gun control measures only create more crime
because, inevitably, guns are only in the hands of the cops
and the criminals. Unarmed citizens become easy prey."
According to FBI Uniform Crime Statistics, 20% of US
homicides occur in 4 cities with just 6 percent of the
population - NYC, Chicago, Detroit, and DC - and each has a
virtual prohibition on private handguns.
Pyle, a retired police officer, has trained thousands of
officers and citizens in firearms safety. The Second
Amendment Police Dept. is an organization that provides a
political voice for American police officers who believe in
personal freedoms, liberty, and independence for all
citizens.
Saturday's gun outing is open to the media and photographs
will also be permitted, with advance notice. For more
information, please contact Leroy Pyle at 312.482.9910,

This reminds me of an argument that I have used against antis when I make the comment that I am much less likely to be a crime victim because I carry a gun. They frequently claim that I have no proof of that. I ask them why don't you hear about cops getting mugged? It is because it doesn't happen. Why do you suppose that is? Are you stupid enough to think that it is the shiney badge or the pretty uniform?
