Someone asked what we shot at Friendship. Here they are.

You know they don't just shoot pistols at Friendship. Here's Andy Larson posing with one of Vic Beeson's trap shotguns, this one in 4 gauge.

Boy, that's a lot of black powder cleaning.
Is it accurate to say the matches are timed with an egg timer? :)
(Just kidding, BP shootin' irons are my favorites).

Andy, the person holding the 4 gauge happens to be a NMLRA record holder shooting 100/100 (perfect score) in trap match 101 back in 2009 and he usually always places in the top three or four in the trap matches at the nationals.
Andy himself admits that the 4 gauge is mostly a novelty gun and he gets out his 10 gauge Vic Beeson gun when he gets serious, though lately he has been using a 12 gauge Browning BT-99 converted to muzzle loading by Kim Davis.
I've shot that 4 bore a couple of times and it's not that bad, mostly because it weighs nearly 14 pounds and also, we don't load them up with a quarter pound of shot. Usually 1-1/2 to 1-7/8 or there about.

The rifle shooters also shoot some specialized guns, mostly custom built by some retired tool and die maker with spare time to indulge in this hobby.

Here's Jeff waiting for the wind flags to hang just right before sending a patched ball downrange in the unlimited bench rest match at Brady, TX.
