Gunbroker Question

I won my first auction on gunbroker on Sunday. I received the normal notification email from gunbroker, and I've sent two messages to the Seller so far, but no replies yet. Is this SOP, and I just need to be patient?

I'm most used to ebay where typically email communication between buyer and seller happens fast...

Gun Broker

Be patient. I deal on Gunbroker and it is a good site. Some times, and I do not know why, it takes a while for the seller or buyer to get in contact with one another. I did a deal in Sweden and it took about three weeks for the seller to contact me. I have a feeling it is web site problem.

I just completed a transaction with a seller on Gunbroker. He was using a Gunbroker email account and my email kept on putting his emails in Spam section. So you should check your spam messages, they may be there.

I buy and sell on Gunbroker all the time. There are lots of reasons why someone doesnt respond right away - work, vacation, computer crash, etc. Other than the one guy that never did respond - and got banned IIRC - the longest it has taken for me to contact some one has been a week.

Be a little patient - it'll happen. :D:D:D:D:D

Third deal

Folks,

I am up to my third pistol from Gunbroker and had pretty quick service on all three. I do agree with the others who advised patience.

I will add my assessment of Gunbroker with those given earlier. I have purchased three firearms and yet to find any problems with the dealers. The contact will come. I had one seller take over a week. He was so sorry. But he had a serious event in his family that needed to be tended to. After he got back home and contacted me, the item shipped in record time. Another served as a third party seller. he had instructed the revolver to be sent. When he went to settle up, there sat the revolver. He made sure it was out that day. So issues come up. But I have found the sellers to be honest dealers.

Good luck in your purchase.

I have never had any problem. You can pull up the seller info and send your money and have your FFL do his thing.without the seller contacting you first. I have done this with folks I have dealt with before to speed the process up.
