Gunbroker.com is dangerous!!!

Argh... I got bored and jumped onto gunbroker.com and ended up buying a new toy! I guess Sig has finally worked out the kinks and is bringing back the P210 (again). The availability of the re-released P210 dried up about a year and a half ago, causing prices to sky rocket. The original P210 is still climbing and used P210s in good condition are fetching over $2500 for it. I bought one of the new P210s in silver about 2 years ago but could not bring myself to shoot it yet. It is such a thing of beauty!

I jumped on to Gunbroker.com to see how much the P210s have jumped up to and saw the P210 Target that incorporates the controls from the P210 Super Target. It appears that the target model also incorporates the grip from the Super Target. The annoying safety that scratched the frame on the original model is now a thumb safety where the 1911 has it. The new version incorporates the big beaver tail found on the new version, eliminating the annoying hammer bite that was common with the original version. The fame and slide are stainless steel with a nitron finish. I am going to shoot this one for sure and a full range report will follow... assuming the wife doesn't kill me for this purchase! LOL

This is a picture of the P210 Super Target that was released with the Legend model. It has a 6 inch barrel and the features I noted above. It appears the slide on the new target has changed as well with wider cocking serrations and front cocking serrations. I love the new P210 Target!

Interesting gun. My LGS had their 5th anniversary last weekend and had four of them in stock. All gone in twenty minutes.

I still have a long way to go before I can even come close to bac1023's collection. I short out a keyboard every time he shares pics of his collection. His pictures look a whole lot better too!

Very nice! Congrats. Enjoy.

Those grips look very similar to the ones on my Sig 1911 Super Target.
... and yes, Gunbroker.com is very dangerous to ones will power.:D

Very dangerous when my favorite seller is just a few miles away. I can go look at the item prior to bidding. If I win, there is no shipping cost or FFL fees. Then there is the instant gratification of winning it and having it the same day. The only bummer is 10% sales tax on a local transaction.

I was thrilled to hear SIG has released the US version of the p210. I've been waiting since their SHOT announcement a hundred years ago.:-) I owned a pristine Swiss made example, along with the .22lr conversion package. When I bought it I could not tell it had been fired. I ran less than a magazine load thru it. It was everything people said it was: accurate, precision made, like a fine watch. And, bit my shooting buddy! However, it didn't seem to be worth $5,000 to me as a shooter. Especially since I was shooting a X-5 and a X-6, both as good, probably better and cost way less. I figured the SIG US version would be good enough that I couldn't tell the difference. Sold the Swiss p210. My LGS has the new models on order. Will report impressions. Soon, I hope!

Finally picked up the newest addition to my Sig P210 "family". Please excuse the lousy shot as I have been crazy busy with work. I didn't even get a chance to shoot it yet. These are in the order I acquired them. Sorry it is not sideways even though it shows that way in photobucket. That site is barely usable due to all the annoying pop-up ads.
