Every morning when I get up there's a pile of things I carry around, many because I feel that I'll never need them until I'm not carrying them, so I carry in the hopes I'll never need. I don't think I'm alone. This payload of things us guys carry could include:

Gun
Watch
Wallet
Knife
Leatherman Multi-tool/Swiss Army Knife
Keys
Cell Phone
PDA
Lighter
Glasses
etc.

My question is: What do you typically carry around with you every day and how do you justify carrying it? Do non-smokers need to make fire? Am I irresponsible if I don't carry a cell? This is a pretty broad topic too, so any neat gadgets or optimizations would be welcome (for instance, using your cell phone as your PDA and watch... or a Swiss Army Knife Key Chain w/ a watch set into it, etc.). What pile of things do you strap to yourself on your way out, and why?

where's your flashlight? :D

knife (afck and dragonfly)
keys
gerber multi tool
photon micro-light
ASP
glasses
wallet
watch

i leave the emergency cell in the car, along with a bigger flashlight, and a bigger knife.

I can't afford a cellphone, and I wish I could carry a gun. Other than that, my daily loadout goes something like this:

Knife (small one in pocket, big one in courier's bag)

Bandanna (a gentleman never goes out without a sharp knife and a clean handkerchief)

Wallet

Watch (in bag, I hate wearing them)

Sunglasses

Keyring with Photon micro-light and Leatherman Micra

Leatherman Super Tool (in bag)

Lighter

Laser pointer (in bag)

Mini Maglite (in bag)

Small camera (in bag - You never know when you need to be a really good witness...)

Assorted tools, books, etc (in bag)

www.equipped.org has a pretty good "pocket survival kit" ingredent listing, among other things. Check it out, if you're so inclined.

Later,
Chris

On my person:
Watch
Money clip with cash, ID, one credit card
Lighter & smokes
Car & home/work keyrings
Cellphone (Uber tiny Ericsson world phone)
*&* tactical folder (To be replaced with P-32 when I move to Dallas)

In my bag:
Leatherman
Laptop
Franklin planner
Extra cellphone battery
Glock 27 (When I move to Dallas)

It sure is a lot of crap to truck around, but the bag is natural for me 'cause I cant leave it in my Jeep. He he you should see what's in the tiny trunk..
Among other things:
Tow rope
Hand held spotlight
Trash bags
Pool cue
Duct & electrical tape
Pepper spray clipped under the seat
Flex-cuffs
Small CB radio
etc...

Hope I'll never need the majority of this stuff. Sometimes I would like to throw it all in the clost, but, sure enough, as soon as I do...

On my person:
Gun/reload (where legal), pocketknife, keys, glasses, change, wallet. I know this isn't much of a list, but it is enough to get me back to my vehicle. You should see what I have in there. :D No pool cue, like maxinquaye, but I do have a t-ball bat.

What is a PDA, by the way? Where I work, that is known as a public display of affection, but I sort of figured that isn't what you are talking about.

I used to carry a large list of items at all times. Then I decided to hell with it all... got tired of the Inspector Gadget nicknames. My new everday list:
Wallet
Knife
Keys
Detonics

I dropped the spare mag, the multitool, the day planner, the cell phone... all that.
I dont even bring a brief case into work anymore.

So, other people carry a Photon Micro light. I carry two, one on my Swiss Army knife and one on my keyring. I always wondered just how popular they were. Oh, I also have one in my passport case. :)

PDA stands for Personal Device Assistant i.e. 3Com Palm Pilot.
I usually carry:
knife (EDI Genesis IWB)
keys
cell phone
wallet
non abrasive cloth to clean glasses
Zippo
When I get a CHL, I will probably carry a HKP7M8.

My loadout (sometimes just after waking up it surprises me to see all this on the counter):

Pistol plus reload (varies, but usually P7)
CQC7 LH in left pocket
Sebenza in right pocket
small damascus lockback (useful for not scaring sheeple)
keys (including handcuff key and bottle opener)
lighter (I'm a non-smoker Paladin)
fingernail clippers
wallet
coin purse
1 kleenex (fresh daily)

I used to carry a gerber multitool all the time, but it drew a lot of unwanted attention (prints pretty badly) and I only used it like once a month or so. Everything else (besides pistol) gets used near daily.

In my bag are
cell phone (set to silent always)
pda
calculator
allergy meds
etc

I've tried carrying a 6P around, but I can't find any rig that's reasonably comfortable and doesn't stick out 1.5" or more from my hip. Any good suggestions on carrying such a light? (I don't want to go less powerful.)

well...Hmm....not given it much thought...

Personal GPS
