Gun Show last weekend, New AR

So the local gun show was this last weekend. Was a VERY small one (small community) with a total of perhaps 20 vendors.

I took some Gun Show fodder with me, an I.O. inc AK, and a Taurus PT100..

Sold both within 15 minutes for a combined 800 dollars, bought a NIB Olympic Arms AR-15 (model M.F.R.) for 550 out the door, Then spent 250 on a Uberti .45 long colt which I traded a few minutes later for a nice used Para P12.. All in all I think I walked away good..Very good..

The New ones got their first range trip on Monday, the olympic worked great...Except with the accursed Wolf ammo..had to try it, and it does the same thing as it does in my colt build, short strokes every single shot...So I have come to the conclusion, wolf sucks.

The Para, despite the reputation seems to work beautifully..fired about 150 rounds, including 100 Winchester WB and 50 Hydra Shocks...impressed...

I know Olympic suffered a bad reputation a while back with cast receivers, this one is a beauty, very well put together and seems to run great, any body else have an opinion on these?

I sold My Olympic AR 15 to my pard who got a hell of a deal on it. He is very Pleased. I owned a Colt Match H Bar before that.

I need to take you to the gun show with me...lol

A AR -15 and Para for $800... did well indeed.

Thats a good price for the AR15, although i'm not very familiar with the Olympic Arms brand. Got any pics?

I went to the local gunshow myself this past weekend (Central FL) and bought some loot for my Bushmaster AR including some Pmags and a scope.

will try to get some pics of her up soon since your interested..really nice looking rifle, and seems to function as good as she looks...Its a No Frills carbine with a heavy barrel.

a2 upper
forged lower
Barrel is a heavy profile (not quite a bull, but doesnt have the m203 cutout) and marked "5.56"
Lower is marked "multi calibre"

A nice rifle all in all...and a great addition for the price..
