Gun show find - SW 38-2

Hit the gun show early this morning looking for a carry piece and found something quite nice.
Have to show it off.

A 38-2 bodyguard in nice condition!
The blue is great, and the forcing cone looks like it just came from the factory.

Oops meant to ask some questions but was too excited to put up the pics..

1. Are model 38s +P rated?
2. Any holster recommendation or just pocket it?

Grip for it

I would maybe suggest you get some Uncle Mikes boot grips or something like them that is small but easier to hold onto if you are gonna toss it in a jacket pocket. But if you have a holster you will have some kind of retention to avoid embarrasing accidents like having it fall out of the jacket pocket in a crowd. And it would be shifting around to where you won't know where it is oriented if you need to grab it. And I would think of getting loose pants if you want to put it in a front pocket! Here is a photo of boot grips on a similiar size 640, which I think would fit your gun. Nice textured rubbery types that fill in behind the trigger guard.

it is all i usually shoot becuase a place in town sells it quite cheap. but my 357s don't mind.

Tom2: you are right on about the grips.
the stock ones are tiny and thin. i would like some kind of finger grooves i think.
I wanted to shoot it with the stock grips just to see what it was like though.

Nice find! Much nicer condition than mine. However, mine has seen it's share carry time. It's a joy for pocket carry, and see's it regularly. I use a uncle Mikes IWB modle for IWB carry. With those same grips, I tend to forget the gun is even there.
