I am planing to go to a local gun show in a few weeks. Can any one tell me what the going price for 40S&W is?
I hope to pick up 1-2K rounds
If I'm not mistaking it will be Cross Roads of the West, last time I was there, Midwall(?) was the name of the company.

It'll be more than what you can get at WalMart, I'll tell you that much. You *may* find some decent reloads for slightly less, but not much.

I can't even find reloads at gunshows cheaper than I can buy new at Wal-Mart.

Blazer Brass in .40 at WM is 12.47 a box. My local WM has also been keeping it stocked fairly well lately as well. I've picked up around 1k rounds of it in the last couple weeks...

Really... I got a good price a few years ago on reloaded ammo from Miwall.

I think I saved a hundred bucks, or some thing like that, over Wally mart.

I gotta go and check out the prices.

I have found nothing to beet the WWB at walmart 100 rd. value pack. I don't know specifics of .40 but 9mm is $21.97/100 rds. at my walmart. Cabela's advertises bulk ammo, but it is still more per rd. than at walmart. The only better price I've found is a co-workers dad reloads and charges $8.50/50 rds. 9mm. (and he reloads all hollowpoints). He charges me $8.75/50 rds. of .38 spl and .357 mag. (again, all hollowpoints). Can't beat that. Walmart WWB 100 rd. value pack of .38 spl is $31.97

After having seen a number of posts re gun show ammo and the results, I have deciced never to shoot ammo reloaded by anyone else but myself. I have seen much ammo for sale at shows, but have passed it up many times.

willr

VTS,Miwall sells exclusively through Outdoor Marksman in Salem. They have Miwall reloads 180gr FMJ for $249/1000 + shipping...

Walmart.......... Gun shows are not cheaper. You will find ammo there you can't find at Wally World, but basic stuff is usually cheaper elsewhere.

I found the Miwall reloads for $277 including shipping. If I can get WWB for $31/100 thats 310 bucks for a 1000 rounds. 33 dollars saving, not that mutch.

I gotta go and check the local WM.

Is there any thing cheaper then the WWB? I don't reload so I don't care about the brass.

Walmart

Our local Walmart has prices as follows:

100 rnd WWB 9mm.............$19.97
100 rnd WWB 40 cal............$28.97
50 rnd Blazer Brass 9mm.....$8.97
50 rnd Blazer Brass 40 cal....$12.97 I think this is right on the 40's

I have made several trips to WM and the cupboards were bare, but I try and pick up a few hundred rounds whenever they are available.
