Went to the Tanner Gun Show in Denver Saturday to buy to some .38 ammo from a supplier that is there for $11 abox for quality reloads. While browsing through the rest of the show I found someone selling Winchester .22mag JHPs for $4.50 a box. I bought 10 for my model 48 and left some for the next guy. Thats half of what Walmart charges. Woo Hoo

90% of Kb's start

with some reload that the operator did not personally load. My rule is that if I did not load it or see it loaded I will not fire a reload in any weapon I own.

Not to rain on the parade but just my 2c.

This is commercially reloaded, remanufactured ammo. Sold as TenX, clean burning and shoots well. Great for plinking.

There's a difference between...

... reputable factory reloads, such as Georgia Arms or Atlanta Arms, and reloads from Billy Bob.

For one thing, the factory reloads normally have a reputation that you can check. For another, if their ammo damages your gun, you know where their offices are, and they have a vested interest in fixing the problem.

With a private reloader, you're taking your chances on both the ammo and on any warranty services.

I buy quality remanufactured ammo--rifle and handgun--from a couple of suppliers, including Georgia Arms. Never had a problem in thousands of rounds.

But excellent score on the .22 mag ammo! Nice of you to leave some ...
