gun safe dehumidifier

I have a Timber Ridge(Liberty) 25 gun safe and bought a Liberty rod dehumidifier. What is the best way to run the cord?

cord

I looked at one that had a small plug on the end of the cord that could slide through a hole. My liberty has a hole in the back. Yours will be on the back or bottom. You have to drill through the liner. Push the small plug in and plug it into the unit.

The plug may also be removable, since the picture I just found of Liberty's product looks like a black Goldenrod.

Thanks

Appreciate the help. Thought maybe that was purpose of plug. Didn't want to drill w/o ckg. Did you seal around the cord w/anything?

You still have to drill the drywall through the hole in the back of the safe to fit the cord through. Just in case there is any misunderstanding.

No, I did nothing to seal around the hole. It works fine.

As stated above, pull the safe out to where you can access the back. The hole is predrilled at the factory in the lower left corner as you look at the back. You can drill it, but I prefer to use a screwdriver. The drill can snag and tear the interior fabric.

There's no need to seal the hole.

Too bad you can't take the moisture from a gun safe and pipe it to a humidor. Both rusty guns and stale cigars are tragedies looking for a smart solution.
