Gun room

I am looking to build a gun room in a defacto attic space behind an interior wall in my home. The room will be about 10x6 and the ceiling will be about 8 feet high.

I have a 2 ton unit for about a 1000 sq feet and i want to tap into on of the two ducts going into the rOom adjacent to where i am going to build my secret room.

Any suggestions on the size of the duct i should use to cool this room. It will be sheetrocked and insulated like a normal room in a home.

What Edward said - 6 inches.

Let's face it, what you're going to have here is a secret room with guns in it. If you put in full size duct work you're GOING to have bad guys and maybe occassionally good guys crawling through it at all hours of the day and night so NIP IT right in the bud right now.

Mine is 5x7, squeezed it in between the library and the furnace/water heater. I'd kill for 6x10.

It basically holds a large gun safe, and room for a set of shelves on one wall, and a two-tier gun rack on the other. You walk in, shut the door behind you, and can reach out and touch everything from one spot. Sure beats nothing, though, glad I built it. Finished walls, good floor, lights, and receptacles, and steel door with deadbolts.
