Officials: Kids shot to death, left by Florida road

PORT ST. LUCIE, Florida (AP) -- "Two adults and two children were found shot to death Friday along an isolated stretch of Florida's Turnpike, with the woman clutching the two children in an apparent attempt to protect them, authorities said."
Sad.
Combined with the recent school shootings, the New Orleans guns grab by Mayor Nagin, the sniper shootings in VA/MD a few years ago, and other randam acts of violence, I predict that Gun Rights will be the issue that holds the Republican Party together... Democrats that are advocating Brady restrictions and gun registration will find a constituency in disagreement on this point...
It is becoming clear to a larger majority of Americans that not only is having a gun a necessity for self defense, it is becoming a priority. I sense that the Democrats will quietly abandon their Brady support overnight as these random acts of violence increase...
