First encounter at a gun range with two bullies. I was assigned to a particular lane at a gun range and two men were on the lane. When I told them that was my lane they said to take another lane. It left me with a sour taste that I had to get on another lane. They were also blocking the exit later picking up the brass they had shot. When I told them to get out of the way they were upset it seems. Guess it is better to walk away then let it escalate more since we all were armed? I heard them speaking a foreign language and I suspect they had rented the guns at the range. This conflict happens in life but with armed persons at a range makes one think twice.

Robert A. Heinlein — ‘An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.’

Or in this case maybe everyone involved was just more polite than they might have otherwise been???

Don't let someone else with a problem control your emotions. As stated, report the incident and allow the range manager to handle the situation.

Keep a smile on your face. :)

range office

I mentioned it to the range office and they said I should have gone back to the office and told them about it. But afterward I think it would have brought more Confrontation and a problem if they would have followed me to my home. They didn't appear to be from the USA originally.

They didn't appear to be from the USA originally.

So??? I have traveled more of the world than most. Neither one of of those things has any bearing on courtesy and politeness. In the more than 20 other counties I have traveled to the rudest people were, almost without exception, the Americans.

My best instructor was a South African who "sounded" foreign. What does that have to do with him being a citizen of the United States?

I heard them speaking a foreign language and I suspect they had rented the guns at the range.

How does one indicate the other?

They didn't appear to be from the USA originally.

How in the world would someone "not look" like they were from this country?

Were they wearing Canadian Air Force uniforms? The airbase here attracts a lot of "foreigners".

I'm not sure where the problem lies.

It doesn't have to turn into a confrontation. Go back to the office and ask to be assigned a different lane. If the office wants to make an issue of it, that is their choice, but you don't need to be in the middle of it and I think you were wise not to be adamant about your assigned lane.

offence

A bully is a bully in any language I guess is what I mean. I would say they seemed to be thugs that didn't follow the rules of the range. When we have more order in this and any country it would be better for all. Jihad John with IS has English sounding voice in the videos but he still cuts off heads.
