We,ll wanted to let you guys know that I
went to gun club range yesterday to try out
Ruger Redhawk 44mag..
Used Winchester and Remington rounds basically to mess with on targets.240 gr. Rem,s and 250 gr. Winchesters.there was
nobody around pistol range when I got there just a couple guys sighting in muzzle loaders on rifle range.
Now i,m being straight up here with what I tried. Hung target' backed up 20 feet' loaded one round to rotate next up' aimed and bammmmooo. Never hit the target.
When I finished up ' I was hitting at 4/5/6 o,clock about 4 inches low.Going back up when I can to tooner up more then I,ll back up to 25 yd shooter bench.
I removed the Hoque grips and went back to Pachmyers. With Hoque grips' back metal of gun handle is exposed to skin between thumb and index finger. Needless to say you get beat on here and afterwhile it,s very uncomfortable. Pachmyer rubber covers this area. It,s apparent whomever had this revolver before must have had a scope on it.
Hey, well thats it for now. Will be back for a rewrite after I do some more shooting.
So far i,m very please with gun.

FWIW, Call me old fashioned but I prefer the stock wood grips on my Redhawk. I let the dealer talk me into Hogues when I bought it but, after shooting it, went back to the originals and have never looked back.

YMMV

 :)
