Gun Rags

Just as a matter of curiosity, What are your favorite gun mags? Since in my area they are getting hard to get at some of the local newstands, either they don't carry them or they are closing up. I'm going to have to subscribe. I use to scan them and pick the ones that had the articles that I wanted to read. So the ones I'm going to subscribe to are: The Shotgun News, Shooting Times and Combat Handguns. Maybe the Gun List
Whats yours?

Happy Shooting :)

loknload - On a regular basis I read Shotgun News, Guns and Ammo and Small Arms Review. Also American Rifleman, but only because I receive it as an NRA member. ;)

The rest, I scan or buy if there's an article in there of interest to me.

I have enjoyed reading GUN WEEK since 1974. I regularly read GUNS, AMERICAN HANDGUNNER, and GUNS & AMMO. I used to subscribe to GUN WORLD and SHOOTING TIMES. Also, I read AMERICAN RIFLEMAN and AMERICAN GUARDIAN from NRA.

The only ones I find interesting enough to read every issue of are "Guns", and "American Handgunner". I occasionally pick up "Guns and Weapons for Law Enforcement", "Shotgun News",and if an article interests me, "G&A", and "Shooting Times". And of course, I recieve "American Rifleman"!- Dakotan

-American Guardian
-Guns and Ammo, which tends to be a little higher quality than some other magazines
-Combat 45's, errr Combat Handguns, I have a few beefs with this magazine, but I still like it

"Gun Tests" they're sort of the "Consumers Report" of the firearms industry. They accept no advertising, buy what they test at the local store (no factory supplied pieces), and let the chips fall where they may.

I have a part-timer subscription to Shotgun News (once a month as opposed to three times a month), Small Arms Review, American Rifleman and am letting Guns & Ammo expire.

I have been thinking about adding Gun List to my list.

My list is the same as TEXAS LAWMAN's but I am presently a little POed at Guns & Ammo. I surfed over to Jeff Cooper's Commentary Sunday evening and found a note saying that G&A has been editing his comments to be less PC unfriendly. They have apparently forgotten that the truth may, at times, upset some people but it is still THE TRUTH.

I subscribe to American Handgunner, and pick up Combat Handguns at the store (and enjoy the horrified look on the checker-outer's face :)).

I subscribed to Shotgun News, but I probably won't renew--I'm not that interested in AK and AR parts. Might replace it with Shooting Times. I have yet to find the perfect rag-There are parts I love and hate in many magazines. This is a good thread, fun to see what everyone reads.

Mine is "Gun List". Being a collector (Winchester Levers and Pumps), this periodical gives me up to date info on values, items for sale, and gives me exposure for items that I am selling. Being in a listed (alphabetical) order I am able to find things including gun shows and dates quicker and easier. Anyway the Gun List is my favorite amoung all of the periodicals.
