Well he did vote for the Crime bill in 1994 which contained a weapons ban. The NRA refused to endorse him for re-election next time around.

If elected and he needed legislation to pass would he make a concession on Gun rights.

Does this mean he is a born again pro gun fellow or a political chameleon ?

Newt Gingrich also promised no gun bills would leave the House while he was at the helm. Can you say Lautenberg Amendment? I have other problems with Newt too.

Didn't Brownback hem haw on the act to protect firearm manufacturers?

These guys are getting scared of Ron Paul. He is a serious threat to both parties.

Zell Miller is the only Democrat of national prominence who could be counted on to actively defend the 2nd. Zell has about the same chances as Ron of getting his party's nomination.
