Gun Movie: 71: Into the Fire

Watched that yesterday. That was enjoyable too. I see the North Koreans used some BA-64 armored cars (or lookalikes) and some M4A3E8 Shermans (guess they couldn't get T-34/85s for the film). It escapes me how little training the students received with their weapons before being pressed into combat. In the first scene we had the student soon to be unit commander trying to load his M-1 Garand without a clip. Then when his student company was formed, they had a brief (and pathetic) range session for familiarization with their Garands. There was plenty of M-1 goodness in it.

BTW, the Yugoslavs produced their own post WW II version of the T-34/85 with a cast hull that was more rounded (no sharp corners) like that of the JS-II.
