Gun Manufacturers in the Crossfire: CNN Style

Tonight at 7:30 EST, CNN's Crossfire will be dedicated to the subject of firearms manufacturers' "liability" for crime. Perhaps this one will give Apoplectic Bill Press an minor stroke. I wish him no permanent damage, but would love to see him just shut up for a few moments. One can always hope.

I've always found "Crossfire" frustrating, as there is more cross-yap than discussion. This evening's episode certainly showed who has the more rational side of the argument. Mayor Campbell came across as a total idiot, in that he could never stay with the thread of any of his own arguments.

Aside from guns qua guns, Barr's argument that any success against the horrid gun makers and the NRA (?) would lead to suits against automakers and, probably, aircraft manufacturers is well taken.

Anybody who claims this country has gone nutzoid gets no argument from me...
