Gun Lubrication

Kentucky Rifle

New member
I've been using a new lubricant for a couple of months. I wanted to thoroughly test it out before I put it on the board. I like it. It's slick stuff and it stays where you put it. It's made by Tufoil and it's called "Gun-Coat". It's a Moly/PTFE compound.
I was always looking for something that would stay put and not make a mess. I'm happy with the results of Gun-Coat.
The only thing I'm concerned about is if it might deactivate primers.
Anyone else use the stuff?

Will, if you exercise reasonable care with the lube, it shouldn't get on the primers. I mean, you're not gonna dunk your gun in a vat of the stuff, right? :)

Coinneach,
HA HA! :)
No, I'm not going to dunk it!
It's just that I killed some primers in my Colt Mustang. It made me cautious.
I like this stuff. It's really slick.
