I was wondering if storing a shotgun in my car for emergency situations would be legal without a license and if not what license do I need and where could i get one?

Specifically;

http://www.packing.org/state/index.jsp/oklahoma/

Trolling websites in hope of finding valid legal information is, to put it charitably, a parlous enterprise. Even Packing.Org labors under the assinine delusion that the Massachusetts Attorney General is in Springfield, and not the capitol, Boston. Still, it will give you a place to start your research.

You ought to belong to your state firearms rights organization. Contact them for a FAQ of state firearms law.

It is highly unlikely that a loaded shotgun being left in a car will be legal; even it it is, it is not terribly bright or responsible. :eek:

The Bill States, "No person, property owner, tenant, employer, or business entity shall be permitted to establish any policy or rule that has the effect of prohibiting any person, except a convicted felon, from transporting and storing firearms in a locked vehicle on any property set aside for any vehicle." The law becomes effective 11/1/04
Basically this says i can store a gun in my truck on any parking lot and only the state legislature can prohibit me from doing so. I beleive I stumbled upon that site and found that it said any body can store a firearm in their locked vehicle as long as it is neither clip loaded or magazine loaded. So I think (i will research this because "i thought" isn't going to persuade an LEO to let illegal carry/concealment slide) that as long as no shells are in the weapon, then i'm in the clear. time to buy a shell saddle. BUT PLEASE correct me if i'm wrong.
