gun haul

I go out to look at ONE 3rd Model Dragoon...

and come home with this- in addition to 3 soft carry cases for the rifles:eek:

the guy was housecleaning, and I was in the right place, at the right time...what I really like the most is the holsters !

now I gotta sell some stuff, or build an addition on the house, to stack more rifles in corners...

That'll teach you

To go lookin' ;)

Never know what you will end up dragging home. The worst thing is if you get all this other yummy stuff & end up not coming home with what you went out for in the first place... then you have to go lookin' AGAIN :D

Nice haul, btw :D

I really didn't need the rifles or brassers, but the price was too good to pass up. I'll have to resell most of it to recoup. I'd like to keep the jungle carbine and customized Mauser sporter.

The ammo/reloading stuff is was got my blood pumping- that stuff new is pricey. 4 cans powder, 12 packs large rifle primers, 10 boxes of 22LR ammo in the cigar box, 5 boxes shotgun ammo, 3 boxes 303 British leads, 5 boxes of .50 cal round balls, 4 tins of pistol caps, a pile of 303 Brit brass. He threw in all the reloading/ammo stuff for only $25- that's a lot of shooting for basically a penny a shot

on the way out, he said "take these gun racks, they're free"

Man what a score!!! My son has a friend that just got a job at the gun counter of a Cabela's and he has the same problem. People come to sell guns and he looks up the store book price, they balk and he offers $25 to $60 more, if it's a gun he wants and he usually ends up taking it home. He's even got a few free, when they come in for repair and the price is too steep, they will just give it to him, and then he gets it repaired at his store discount. That's a great collection, enjoy the shooting.

Excellentttt!!! whats that on the stock of the second rifle down? One of these days I hope to find myself in the right place at the right time.....someday...

That's the way to take advantage of a situation. I've used the "It was an opportunity I would never have again" line on my wife a few times. She knows better, but it usually works.

it's a Baltimore Oriole, I think ??
