Gun finishing

I am looking for feedback , recommendations or overall exp. in the use of gunkote, duracoat or any others out there.........I have a couple I want to finish...............Also as a school project for son, So ease of use and mess is a priority.............Thanks

It's paint.
To properly use it, the gun needs to be sandblasted, then Parkerized, then you paint it with an airbrush. Then you bake it in an oven.
