Gun engraving help?

Hello! I have seen a web link/ info on there from time to time on a company you can ship the slide (not frame) from a semi-auto to to have engraving done on it. I have acquired a new (to me) BHP that I am going to embellish - anyone have that company name/link or other recommendations?

I have no idea which engraver you saw but I had a couple of guns done by Michael Gouse at MTART. ( http://www.mtart.com/ ) Work is good but not spectacular with prices being very fair and turn around time not bad at all. I think this came back in 30 days.

Try Googling "gun engraving".

All quality engravers have good photos of their work available to serious enquirers in albums or on line.

The fact that an engraver does not work on frames indicates that he probably does not have an FFL. That doesn't mean anything in regard to the quality of his work, but certainly limits what he is capable of doing. An engraved slide on a plain frame would, to me, look a bit odd.
