Gun debates on feminist message board!

There are some ongoing gun debates on this liberal feminist message board. I was bored earlier, so I decided to chime in.

The thread is rather long, so it is a two page segment. I started debating this girl who has no logic in her argument on the second page.
If you read it, let me know how my debating skills are working out!
 
Shamster, you seem to be doing a good job debating with the people from the Ms. Board.
One suggestion, leave religion out of the issue! Religion was not the issue in this debate, and makes you less creditable to atheists like myself. Your arguement so far has been based on hard facts and logic, you might want to keep it that way.

Thanks. I really didn't intend to go into religion (to that degree at least). Somehow, things went of on a tangent from the original topic (don't even know how that started).
Anyway, things seem to be back on track to the original point now. More airheaded comments.
 
Guys you are wasting your time. The people who are regulars on the MS board are no more mainstream America than they think we are.They are fringe elements further left than we are to the right.You will never convince them just as they will never convince us.
 
Maybe not, but there are probably a few people who observe. It's always fun (and rewarding) to debunk all the myths and half truths that anti-gun liberals try to present.

I agree with the antigun proponents on this board. Why do you need guns. You have we the civilian Police, to defend you from criminals, the U.S. military to defend you from foriegn enemies. The U. S. constitution is out of date and really doesn't apply to modern America. What do we need with a Bill of Rights, we can trust our government to never abuse us, as others in modern times have done. We could never have a Hitler or Stalin take over the reigns of our government, that could never happen here. Don't you agree with me when I say, that it is far better for a woman to be strangled with her own panty hose and brutally raped and murdered in a filthy alley than for her to carry a gun. she might hurt her self with that evil gun. Also women aren't capable of making the correct decisons with something as dangerous as a gun. Their mental processes are to slow and they are to weak to defend themselves. Leave their defense to the police, their husbands or other male family members. Our government is our friend and they can always be trusted to protect us, and look out for our best interests. The police are the only ones in this country who should have guns. History has proven time after time in this past century that the citizens of a country can trust their governments to protect them. The German Police in the 1930s and 40s did a grand job of protecting the Jews. Forget the fact that tens of millions of people have been slaughtered by their own governments in this century. Something like that can never happen here. You do not need a gun, we in Law Enforcement are here to protect you. We are from the government and are here to help you. Turn in those guns, they are evil and you do not need them, you are to stupid to learn how to use them and you might hurt yourself. You have us. Sleep well tonight you are safe... Blue Knight

That was probably one of the most enlightening articles I've ever read. I am one of these children you speak of. I am only 19, and I'm trying to educate myself as best I can. Could anyone point me to the best antigun rhetoric you have ever seen. I'm trying to get the facts. I wish everyone in the world could debate these types of topics with the composure I saw on the other board. Another thing that irks me is the indifference towards important issues. I'm currently a freshmen at a major university and I've been talking about these topics with my friends. They just don't seem to want to talk about these types of things. The world is becoming more disturbing everyday.

The topic is reusable feminine hygiene products vs. the evil disposable methods. I'm tempted to post a note asking if these queens of the environment have reusable toilet paper...... I haven't seen this much typing since a "Glock Vs. the rest" thread

That's the thing I can't get over! They cry feminism and how they are sexually harrassed all the time. Then they talk about giving Klinton a blowjob for a million bucks. go figure
