.Gun Control in Australia - Watch and Weep .

Absolutely a timely warning!

I have been living in Australia since 1995 and experienced the entire sequence of "Tragedy" (Port Arthur murders) "Outrage" (The media circus following the Port Arthur murders) and Political Solution" (the extremely rapid government application of new firearms restrictions which most believe were prepared and waiting for a suitable tragedy).

Some of the figures in the video are a bit misleading as Australia already had a very low firearms involved crime rate before the Port Arthur murders.

Incidents of firearms involved assault in Sydney, invariably connected with gangs and drugs, are now sufficiently common that NSW has recently attempted to further 'tighten' legislation applying to law-abiding gun owners.
Of course, NONE of the guns being used are registered and NONE of the criminal shooters are licensed!

There is almost a nation-wide hoplophobia in urban Australia, and that is where 80% of voters reside. Voting is compulsory in Australia, so they do vote.

There weren't enough gun owners to constitute a significant political force (certainly not absent any Constitutional defense-Australia has no codified Bill of Rights) and they were steamrollered by a very focused and well funded anti-gun effort on the part of government and media.

You've got political clout there to use against Obama and his anti-freedom handlers. Use it!

These people are just afraid of guns and no amount of proof or facts will change their mind. They just want to control law abiding citizens.

What happened to Australian gun owners can certainly happen to those in the U.S.A. if Americans become complacent or unwilling to stand up for their Constitutional rights.

Rebecca Peters (given credit by many for the Australian "push" to ban guns) was interviewed recently on ABC Radio (the Australian government owned network). She and her I.A.N.S.A. colleagues are most hopeful about forcing "common sense" gun laws onto the U.S.A. - with Obama's 'bully pulpit" and Bloomberg's money. Soros funds much of Rebecca's activities around the world.

You'll recognize the same smug misinformation and presentation which manifests in anti-freedom folks everywhere. They firmly believe they are "saving the world from guns" and your freedom means less than nothing to them.:mad:

It really will be a fight, they see their best chance in years to get 'er done. :(
