I'm sure that most of you are keeping a very close eye on gun control legislation. What does everybody know about the Presidential candidates stand on gun control? From what I have seen Bradley wants us to go back to the days where we throw rocks for self-defense! He wants ALL handguns to be licensed and registered!! Yeah right! I personally like Mccain so far, him being a veteran and all. Bush is from Texas so I imagine that he's pretty gun-friendly. What about Gore? I'll be honest, gun control is just about the only issue that means all that much to me in the upcoming election. At 26 I don't really have to worry about social security anytime soon! Lol!

Positions on gun control:

Mccain: Staunchly pro whatever he feels like in a given week, and that only until the media tells him to think otherwise.

Bush: Has pro-gun support, will give in on anything up to messing with adults' access to guns. He'll agree with any law currently passed (e.g. would never repeal "assault weapon" or Brady) but won't pass new infringements.

Bradley: Supports total ban on private ownership of firearms. Wants'em now, too. Makes him look extreme.

Gore: Supports total ban on private ownership of firearms; but is patient. Won't stand in election campaign and suggest confiscations/registration that has no chance at passing. Would have to battle hard (media support, and a lot more coverage of school shootings) for the handgun licencing (which could then be extended to longguns). He's patient enough to let confiscations wait.

Battler.

Greetings, I don't think you can go wrong with either Republican candidate. My choice
is the distingushed Senator from Arizona!!!
